Swift, who won three awards during tonight’s show, beat a record previously held by Whitney Houston.
The artist turned into the most embellished craftsman who is a lady in the historical backdrop of the AMAs after she won honors for Tour of the Year, Favorite Pop/Rock Album, and Artist of the Year. Quick, who had 19 AMA wins preceding the current year's show, left with a sum of 22 grants, beating Whitney Houston's longstanding record of 21 wins.
While giving a discourse amid her Artist of the Year win, Swift expressed gratitude toward fans and furthermore reminded them to cast a ballot amid the forthcoming midterm decisions, reverberating the viral feeling she shared on Instagram not long ago.
"This honor and each and every honor given out today around evening time were casted a ballot on by the general population," she said. "Furthermore, you recognize what else is casted a ballot on by the general population... is the midterm decisions on November 6. Get out and vote. I cherish you folks."
